Request a custom AI training dataset. Say what your model has to learn.
This is where an AI team briefs eeko's data practice. Request a custom AI training dataset by describing the modality, the domain, the volume, the timeline, the licence you need, and the budget you have in mind. A data lead answers inside one business day, we agree a specification on a short call, and you test a pilot batch before anything scales. A sharper brief means faster sourcing, but an imperfect brief is fine; the follow-up questions are part of the job.
What is a custom AI training dataset request?
A custom AI training dataset request is a brief: a description of the capability you want a model to gain or the behavior you want to measure, and of the data that would get it there. It names a modality (text, image, audio, video, 3D, robotics, documents, or tables), a domain or task, a volume, a timeline, the licence you need, and the budget you are working within. From that brief a data team can tell you whether the data already exists in a catalogue, has to be captured fresh, or needs experts to annotate it, and what each route costs.
eeko takes these briefs because we build production AI systems for regulated companies and have spent years discovering what the models behind them are missing. Public data is exhausted. Scraped data cannot be shown to a regulator. Synthetic data teaches a model what another model already knew. What moves a capability is human-made, expert-checked, consented data with a verifiable record on every item, and that is what the eeko AI training data practice supplies to AI labs, robotics teams, and enterprise ML groups.
The form below is the whole intake. There is no procurement portal and no sales qualification call. A data lead reads the brief, replies with questions, and the next step is a thirty minute scoping conversation that ends with a specification, acceptance criteria, and a fixed price for a pilot batch.
From a dataset request to delivered data.
Four steps, each with a decision point for you. No volume is produced until the pilot has passed your own pipeline.
Request a custom AI training dataset: the brief.
Private. Read by a data lead, answered within one business day. Fill in what you know and leave the rest; we will ask.
Your brief is with the data team.
A data lead reads every request and we answer inside one business day with clarifying questions and a proposed time for the scoping call. To add samples, a specification document, or anything else, write to thomas@eeko.systems.
What a useful training data brief contains.
You do not need all of this on the first pass. Every line you can fill in removes a question from the reply and a day from the schedule.
The questions a data lead will ask anyway
- The capability — what the model should do after training that it cannot do now, or what the evaluation should measure.
- The gap — what is wrong with the data you have: too little, too clean, wrong domain, no outcomes, no consent.
- The quality bar — who is qualified to judge an item correct, and what a wrong item looks like.
- Edge cases — the rare situations the model must handle, which are usually the reason custom data is needed at all.
- Volume and cadence — a one-off set, a growing corpus, or a scheduled feed.
- Licence — non-exclusive, exclusive, or evaluation-only, and whether the data may be retained after the term.
- Format and metadata — the loader you use, the schema you expect, and the fields each item must carry.
- Constraints — regions, languages, regulatory regimes, and anything that must never appear in the data.
If you are an AI team evaluating data vendors rather than ready to brief, that page covers the service in full.
What comes back when you request training data from eeko.
Three ways to fill a brief, one verification standard, and a delivery you can hand to an auditor.
Custom datasets by modality.
Scraped, stock, or synthetic versus built to the brief.
Crawled corpora with no consent trail, stock collections every competitor has already trained on, and synthetic sets that reproduce a model's own blind spots. Cheap until a regulator, a counterparty, or a benchmark asks where it came from.
- Unconsented No record of who agreed to what
- Unverified No way to prove a person made it
- Undifferentiated The same data everyone else trains on
- Unscoped Volume first, quality discovered later
Sourced, captured, or annotated against acceptance criteria you set, verified item by item, licensed for the use you named, and delivered with a receipt. The pilot proves the specification before the volume is produced.
- Consented Consent and licence recorded per item
- Verified Fingerprint, timestamp, human-origin checks
- Specific Your domain, your edge cases, your quality bar
- Scoped Pilot first, fixed price, signed receipt

How do I request a custom AI training dataset from eeko?
Fill in the form on this page with the modality, the domain or task, the rough volume, your timeline, the licence you need, and a budget range, then describe what the model has to learn and where the data you have falls short. A data lead writes back inside one business day with questions, you agree a specification and acceptance criteria on a short call, and a pilot batch follows before anything is produced at volume. The brief does not need to be perfect; the call is where it gets precise.
How much does a custom AI training dataset cost?
It depends on what has to be made. Licensing an existing collection from the eeko catalogue is the cheapest route. Capturing new recordings with consenting participants, or having board-certified physicians and practising lawyers annotate items, costs more per item because the people are paid properly. Every engagement is scoped to a fixed price before work starts, the pilot batch is priced separately so you can test before committing, and the budget range you give on the form shapes what we propose.
What is a pilot batch and why does eeko insist on one?
A pilot batch is a small, fully verified sample delivered to the agreed specification before production begins. You run it through your training or evaluation pipeline, check the labels, the formats, and the metadata, and tell us what to change. It protects both sides: you do not pay for volume until the sample has proven itself, and we do not produce ten thousand items to a specification that turns out to be wrong on item fifty.
What formats does eeko deliver datasets in?
JSON Lines, CSV, and Parquet for text and structured data, WebDataset shards for large media collections, COCO for image annotations, and Croissant metadata describing the whole dataset so it loads directly into standard tooling. Every delivery includes the per-item provenance records and a signed receipt that itemizes every file by fingerprint. If your pipeline needs something else, say so in the brief and we will match it.
Is data from eeko licensed and consented for commercial model training?
Yes. Every item carries a recorded consent from the person who made or appears in it and a licence that states the permitted use, the term, and whether it is exclusive. Human origin is checked, the provenance record is signed and independently timestamped, and the audit trail is hash-chained. You choose on the form whether you need a non-exclusive licence, an exclusive one, or evaluation-only rights, and the specification is written to match.
How long does a dataset request take from brief to delivery?
The reply comes within one business day and the scoping call usually happens within the week. A pilot batch sourced from the catalogue can ship in days; one that needs new capture or expert annotation takes a few weeks depending on the people and equipment involved. Production volume is scheduled against the timeline you give on the form, which is why that field matters even when the answer is only an estimate.
More from the eeko data practice.
Send the brief. Test the pilot. Then decide.
One form, one business day, one thirty minute call, one verified pilot batch. You run real items through your own pipeline before signing for volume, and every delivery arrives with a receipt you can defend. No deck. A specification and a price.
