AI training jobs for veterinary professionals. From $25 per accepted hour. Consent before the camera.
Vet techs, veterinarians, groomers, kennel staff, and trainers wear a small camera while they handle, examine, treat, and care for animals. eeko pays from $25 for each hour of footage a reviewer accepts, on top of your wages. Nothing is recorded until the clinic has signed a written agreement and the animal's owner has consented, and you can stop the camera for any reason without explaining it.
What are AI training jobs for veterinary professionals?
AI training jobs for veterinary professionals pay you to record the animal work you already do, from your own point of view, so that AI and robotics teams can learn from it. You wear a camera on a chest or head mount through the parts of a shift the clinic has approved and each owner has consented to. eeko reviews the footage, pays from $25 for every accepted hour, and licenses it, de-identified, to named buyers.
What buyers cannot get anywhere else is the reading of the animal: how you approach a dog that is backing away, when you tighten a hold and when you ease it, how you position a cat for a jugular draw so it only happens once. None of that is in a textbook, and almost none of it has been filmed by the person doing it. That scarcity is why this program pays more than the everyday-task programs on our get paid to train AI hub.
Because animals, owners, and medical records are involved, this program runs on stricter rules than the rest of eeko's data capture practice. Those rules come first on this page, before the roles and the pay, because they come first with any clinic.
Nothing recorded without a signature. Nothing shared with a face in it.
Two agreements come before the camera: the clinic's, in writing with eeko, and each owner's, per animal. Then the footage is cleaned before anyone outside eeko sees it.
The camera points where you are looking: the patient on the table, the catheter, the clippers, the bandage. That is the whole subject. It is footage of skilled animal handling, not of your clinic or its clients.
- Handling Approach, restraint, calming, lifting
- Procedures Draws, catheters, injections, dressings, dentals
- Grooming and kennel Bathing, clipping, feeding, cleaning, enrichment
- Consent attached Clinic agreement and owner consent travel with every clip
Faces of owners and coworkers, name tags, charts, cage cards, monitors, and phone screens are blurred or cut by eeko's data team before footage goes anywhere. Footage recorded without the clinic's knowledge is refused and never paid.
- Blurred People, records, screens, identifiers
- Paused Euthanasia, emergencies, hard conversations, your call
- Excluded Rooms, procedures, or clients the clinic rules out
- Withdrawable An owner can withdraw afterward and the clip is pulled

Animals do not hold still, and that is the point. Every role below involves reading a patient while working on it.
From application to first payout, consent at every step.
What "from $25 per accepted hour" means in practice.
Accepted hours, base rate, and the veterinarian exception
- $25 is the base — for techs, nurses, assistants, groomers, trainers, and kennel or shelter staff, per hour of footage a reviewer accepts.
- Veterinarians are quoted per project — above the base, agreed and written down before you record, the way eeko pays specialists across its expert network.
- Counted on accepted footage — not hours on shift. Expect 70% to 85% of uploads to pass once your setup is right. Ten recorded hours with eight accepted is $200 at the base rate.
- On top of your pay — the clinic pays you as it always has. This is a separate payment for recordings, not a wage, and not a job.
- Your own camera — phone or action camera on a chest or head mount. eeko does not supply equipment but checks yours before you record.
- Each appointment paid once — re-uploads and the same simple task repeated all day are turned down.
- Paid through Stripe — reviewed inside a few days, itemized, and paid out automatically.
Run a practice, a shelter, or a grooming business? Say so in the form. Teams enroll under one clinic agreement, each person is paid for their own accepted hours, and eeko manages owner consent for everyone.

Veterinary AI training jobs, asked often.
Do pet owners have to consent before I record?
Yes, every time, and in writing. The clinic or business signs an agreement with eeko before anything is recorded, and then each owner signs a short consent line, which most practices fold into the check-in paperwork. The camera is on your hands and the animal, not the owner, and any owner, staff member, chart, or screen that still appears is blurred before footage is shared. If an owner declines, that appointment is not recorded.
How much do AI training jobs for veterinary professionals pay?
From $25 for each hour of footage that passes review, paid by eeko in addition to your normal wages. $25 is the base rate for techs, assistants, groomers, trainers, and kennel or shelter staff. Veterinarians are quoted per project, above the base, and the figure is put in writing before anything is recorded. Pay is counted on accepted footage, not hours on shift; reviewers pass roughly 70% to 85% of uploads. Ten recorded hours with eight accepted is $200 at the base rate.
Will recording get in the way of patient care?
It should not, and if it ever would, the animal wins. The camera sits on a chest or head mount so both hands stay free, and you can stop it at any moment: a euthanasia, an emergency, a fractious patient, a hard conversation with an owner. Minutes you do not record are simply not counted, and nobody asks why you paused. Clinics can also rule entire rooms or procedures out of scope before anyone records a thing.
Is recording in a vet clinic allowed under privacy rules?
It happens under a written clinic agreement that sets out what may be recorded, who consents, and how footage is de-identified. Owners, staff, records, wristbands, and screens are blurred or cut before anything leaves eeko. We do not accept, and will not pay for, footage recorded without the practice's knowledge. If your clinic has a compliance or practice manager, we work through the agreement with them directly, and they can exclude anything they like.
What camera do I wear around animals?
Your own phone or a small action camera on a chest mount, with no straps or cables an animal could catch. Treatment rooms are bright, which makes for clear footage. eeko does not supply cameras, but on the onboarding call we check what you have, show you the angle that keeps the animal and your hands in frame, and agree a cleaning routine so the mount is wiped between patients like any other surface.
Which veterinary roles are you accepting?
Veterinarians, vet techs and veterinary nurses, vet assistants, groomers, kennel and shelter staff, trainers, and large-animal and farrier work, anywhere in the United States. If your role is close but not listed, apply and describe it; we add roles as buyers ask for them and will say plainly if we cannot use yours yet. Lab, nursing, and surgical work each have their own program.
What happens to the footage after review?
Accepted footage is de-identified, fingerprinted, and licensed to vetted AI and robotics organizations under a written agreement, with the clinic agreement and each owner consent attached to the clip. It is used to teach systems how a skilled person reads, holds, examines, and treats an animal. It never appears on a public site or an open marketplace. The verified human data page describes the signed provenance record and audit trail on every item.
Clinical, lab, or surgical? Each has its own program.
The health programs share the same consent-first rules. Rates follow how rare and how regulated the footage is.
The animal comes first. The camera comes second. The pay is real.
From $25 for every accepted hour of handling, treatment, grooming, or kennel work, under a clinic agreement and owner consent we arrange for you. Apply in two minutes; a real person replies within one business day.
