AI training jobs for barbers and stylists. $20 per accepted hour, one client at a time.
Barbers, hair stylists, colorists, nail techs, estheticians, makeup artists, and tailors record their work from their own point of view, with each client's consent on the phone at check-in. eeko pays $20 for each hour of footage a reviewer passes, separate from what the chair already earns you. A fade, a foil, a French tip, a hem. Few things a pair of hands does are more exact, and nearly none of it has been captured for AI.
What are AI training jobs for barbers and stylists?
AI training jobs for barbers and stylists pay you for footage of the services you already perform. A small camera on your chest or head records your hands, your tools, and the hair, nails, skin, or fabric in front of you. Each client agrees first. The footage goes to AI and robotics teams who need to understand fine motor work, and eeko pays $20 for every hour of it a reviewer accepts.
Why your work in particular? Because scissors working over a comb, a brush drawn along a cuticle, a razor against a neck, and a needle through a hem are all precise, two-handed, and done on something that moves. Robotics researchers have thousands of hours of people stacking boxes and almost nothing of a stylist layering a bob. Scarcity is why this program pays more than the everyday-task programs on our get paid to train AI hub.
It is run by eeko's data capture practice under the same rules as every other program: written consent before anything is recorded, a human reviewer on every upload, and a signed provenance record on every clip that is delivered.
Every client says yes before the cape goes on.
Your clients trust you with how they look. Nothing is recorded without their written okay, and nothing identifying leaves eeko.
How recording works with a client in the chair
- Ask at check-in — a short form on your phone explains that the camera films your hands and the service, and the client signs or declines. A no means that appointment is skipped, with no effect on your standing.
- Hands and tools in frame — the camera is angled at the work. The client's face is blurred before any footage is shared, and so is the mirror, unless the client has chosen in writing to leave it visible.
- The shop signs too — the owner gives written permission for recording on the premises. Other stylists and their clients who cross into frame are blurred.
- Pause for anything — a consultation, a phone call, a client who changes their mind halfway through. Unrecorded minutes are not counted and nobody asks why.
- Named buyers, written license — footage is licensed to vetted AI and robotics organizations, with the consent record attached to each clip. Never a public post, never an open marketplace.

How the $20 is counted, and what it is not.
A reviewer on the eeko data team watches each upload within a few days and credits the minutes that pass at $20 an hour. Payouts go through Stripe automatically. Expect 70% to 85% of a well-set-up session to be accepted.
- Real work A service on a client, from your point of view
- Watchable In focus, lit well, hands and tools in frame
- Consented Client signed, shop owner signed
- New Each service paid once; repeats are turned down
The chair pays you as it always has. eeko pays separately for recordings, under a one-page participation agreement that covers consent and payment and nothing else. Record as much or as little as suits your book.
- Gaps Time between clients and paused minutes
- Declines Appointments where the client said no
- Equipment Your own phone or action camera; nothing to buy from us
- Exclusivity None. Stop any time, join any other program

Whose signature covers the room
- You rent a chair — the salon owner signs a one-page permission for recording on the premises, and your own clients consent at check-in. We will send the form to the owner for you.
- You are employed — the shop signs, and in practice the whole team joins at once so no one has to approach a manager alone.
- You own the shop — your signature covers the space. Enroll your stylists as a group and every one of them is paid for what they record.
- You work mobile or from home — your client's consent is all that is needed, and anything personal in the room is blurred.
Own a barbershop, salon, nail studio, or alterations shop? Say so in the form. Group onboarding takes one call, and eeko handles the client consent flow for the whole floor.

Barber and stylist AI training jobs, asked often.
How do I get my clients to agree to being recorded?
You ask once, at check-in, using a brief consent form on your phone that takes about twenty seconds to sign. The camera faces your hands and tools, so what a client is agreeing to is footage of a haircut or a manicure, not a portrait. Their face is blurred by default, and the mirror in front of you gets the same treatment. If someone declines, that appointment simply is not recorded. Most regulars say yes the second time without being asked.
How much do AI training jobs for barbers and stylists pay?
$20 for each hour of footage that passes review, paid by eeko on top of whatever the chair already brings in. It is counted on accepted footage, not on hours at the shop: time between clients and consultations you pause for are not included, and reviewers in this program pass roughly 70% to 85% of what is uploaded. Ten recorded hours with eight accepted is $160 in a week; thirty hours at the same rate is about $480. No cap, no minimum.
I rent a booth. Does the salon owner have to sign too?
Yes. The owner gives written permission for recording in the space, because other stylists and their clients will sometimes cross into frame, and those people are blurred before anything is shared. It is a one-page agreement and we are happy to send it to the owner ourselves. If you own the shop, your own signature covers the premises, and only your clients need to consent.
What camera works at a chair or a nail table?
Your own phone or a small action camera on a chest mount, angled down at your hands. Salon lighting is excellent for this, and a chest mount keeps the frame steady while you move around a client. We do not supply equipment, but we check what you have on the onboarding call and show you the angle that keeps scissors, nails, or the needle in frame. Head mounts work for barbers; chest mounts suit nail and makeup work.
What gets an hour of footage rejected?
Four things decide it, and a person on the eeko data team checks each one. The footage has to show real client work from your point of view, be sharp and bright enough to follow the hands, be covered by the client's and the owner's consent, and not repeat a service you already uploaded. Each review comes back itemized, with a reason beside anything that failed. The first hour you record is paid in full, pass or fail, as long as it is a real attempt after onboarding.
Who buys the footage, and could it show up online?
Vetted AI and robotics organizations studying fine manual work license it from eeko under a written agreement, with your consent records attached to every clip and faces, names, and screens blurred first. It never goes on a public site, a social feed, or an open data marketplace. Our verified human data page describes the fingerprint, timestamp, and signed provenance record attached to each item, which is how a buyer proves where every second of it came from.
Different hands, different program.
Every hands-on track pays per accepted hour under the same consent rules. Rates follow how rare the footage is.
