Software architecture training data. Judgment that survives production.

System designs, architecture decision records, code reviews, and graded agent runs written by staff and principal engineers, SREs, and security specialists, then checked by a second senior reviewer. For teams training coding models and agents past the function level, and for senior engineers who want paid, remote work that uses their design judgment.

What is software architecture training data?

Software architecture training data is the written judgment of experienced engineers, captured in a form a model can learn from or be scored against: a design document that states requirements, picks an approach, and explains what was rejected and why; a decision record with its context and consequences; a pull-request review with the comments a senior reviewer would really leave; a coding agent's forty-step run with the exact step where the plan went wrong marked and explained.

Coding models write functions well. The systems they design read well and fail at three in the morning: one database with no growth plan, retries without idempotency, a cache nobody invalidates, secrets in the config file, a migration with no way back. Agents make the same mistakes with more steps between cause and effect. The public interview questions are already in every corpus, and the repositories that get scraped carry licences nobody checked and secrets nobody removed.

eeko builds enterprise AI agents that write and change code inside regulated companies, so we needed this data before anyone asked us to sell it. Verified senior engineers write each item to your specification, a second senior engineer reviews it, and every delivery carries the per-item record described on verified human data, the standard across the whole eeko data practice.

Code review image · 2100 × 900
A review is written the way it would be for a real team: specific, prioritized, and clear about what blocks the merge.

Three ways code models fail past the function, and what the data teaches.

A junior annotator can tell whether the tests pass. A principal engineer can tell whether the design will page someone next quarter.

Designs that look fine and fail under load

Scale, failure, and operations are where plausible designs come apart. Our engineers review a generated design the way they would in a real design review, and write down the objection, the severity, and the fix.

Agents that drift over long runs

A coding agent rarely fails at step one. It fails at step thirty, on a decision that looked fine at step twelve. Step-level grading locates that decision and states what the better next move was.

Code with a licence problem

Crawled repositories bring unclear licences, leaked credentials, and personal data. Every file here is written new or licensed with recorded consent, scanned for secrets, and fingerprinted so you can prove where it came from.

System design, code review, and agent evaluation data, at a senior bar.

The six requests we fill most often, scoped by language, platform, domain, and difficulty, and opened with a pilot batch.

01 / designsCORE
System design documents
Realistic requirements turned into a design with the data model, the failure modes, the operational plan, and the alternatives that were considered and rejected, written as a staff engineer would write them.
  • Requirements, constraints, and non-goals stated
  • Trade-offs and rejected options recorded
  • Reviewed by a second senior engineer
02 / adrsCORE
Architecture decision records
Short, structured decisions with context, options, the choice, and its consequences, so a model learns how engineers reason through a trade-off rather than just the answer.
  • Consistent ADR template per request
  • Tagged by domain and platform
  • Linked to the design they belong to
03 / reviewsCORE
Pull-request review data
Diffs reviewed for correctness, security, performance, and long-term maintainability, with inline comments, a verdict, and the reasoning, ready for supervised fine-tuning.
  • Comment, severity, and location per finding
  • Block, request changes, or approve verdicts
  • Languages and frameworks to your spec
04 / trajectoriesEVAL
Coding-agent trajectory grading
Engineers step through multi-step agent runs, mark each action as sound or not, identify the first bad decision, and write what a senior engineer would have done instead.
  • First-error step on every trajectory
  • Better-next-action annotations
  • Rubric agreed in the pilot
05 / preferencesCORE
Preference judgments
Pairwise comparisons of designs or code on correctness, simplicity, and operational risk, each with a written rationale, built for preference and reward-model training.
  • Criteria weighted to your spec
  • Rationale on every pair
  • Agreement rates reported per batch
06 / evalEVAL
Held-out design evaluation sets
Fresh design prompts with rubrics and reference answers, written to avoid the interview-question canon, timestamped at delivery, and never offered to another buyer.
  • Independent timestamp per set
  • Refreshed on a standing order
  • Scored by engineers against the rubric

From brief to signed delivery, in four steps.

Argue about the review bar on a small batch, then run volume without reopening the argument.

STEP 01
Spec and pilot
You tell us the model, the stack, and the failure you keep seeing. We return a written spec, a rubric, and a fixed pilot price inside one business day.
STEP 02
Written by a verified senior engineer
An engineer whose identity, role history, and design experience we have checked writes the design, the review, or the grade, in a domain they are verified in.
STEP 03
Second senior review
A second engineer reviews the item without seeing the first verdict, then accepts it or returns it with a reason. Both names go into the item record.
STEP 04
Scanned, fingerprinted, delivered
Accepted items are scanned for secrets and personal data, hashed, timestamped, checked for duplicates, and listed on a signed receipt with the licence.

Who is on the eeko engineering network

  • Staff and principal engineers — design authority over systems other people run.
  • Site reliability engineers — the operational eye: what pages, what degrades, what is impossible to roll back.
  • Security engineers — threat models, secrets handling, and the review comment that prevents the breach.
  • Distributed systems engineers and engineering managers — consistency, scale, and the trade-offs a team can actually live with.

Delivered as design documents, decision records, review threads, agent trajectories, preference pairs, and rubrics, as JSON Lines, Parquet, or Croissant.

Paid AI training work for senior software engineers, on your own terms.

Remote work that draws on what you do in design reviews and incident retrospectives. Write designs, review code, grade agent runs, and second-review another engineer's work. The rate is on the job before you accept.

Engineers we verify and onboard

Identity and role history are confirmed once at onboarding, often with a short paid exercise. After that you only see jobs your verified profile qualifies for.

  • Depth Roughly eight years of professional engineering, or the equivalent
  • Scope Staff, principal, or architect-level design responsibility
  • Operations Hands-on with production systems at real scale
  • Stack Deep in specific languages, platforms, or infrastructure
  • Specialized Distributed systems, security, data, or mobile is a plus

What a job on eeko looks like

Each job carries scope, deadline, and rate. When the second reviewer approves your item, the amount is credited and Stripe pays it out automatically once your identity and tax information are on file.

  • Design Systems for realistic requirements, with the rejected options explained
  • Review Pull requests, for correctness, security, and whether anyone can maintain them
  • Grade Agent runs step by step, marking where and why the plan failed
  • Check Another engineer's designs and grades as the second reviewer

No minimum hours, no published byline, and a hard rule: nothing from your employer's code, documents, or incidents ever goes into a job. How rates and review work across the program is on expert data annotation jobs.

Software architecture training data questions.

What software architecture training data does eeko deliver?

Design documents for realistic requirements, with the trade-offs and the rejected options spelled out; architecture decision records with context and consequences; pull-request reviews with the comments a senior reviewer would actually leave; step-by-step grades of multi-step coding agent runs; pairwise preference judgments on designs and code; and held-out design prompts with a rubric and a reference answer. Each request is scoped by stack, domain, and difficulty, then routed to engineers verified in that area. The pilot batch shows you the bar before the order grows.

How does eeko verify that an engineer is senior?

Identity first, then role history. We confirm who the person is, check that their design responsibility and production experience match what they claim, and for most tracks ask for a short paid design or review exercise that a current network member grades. After onboarding, every item they deliver is still checked by a second senior engineer, and the item record names both the author and the reviewer, so seniority is enforced on every delivery rather than assumed from a resume.

How much does senior-engineer code review data cost?

Per accepted item, with the price driven by what the item is and how much review sits behind it. A single pull-request review with a handful of comments is priced very differently from a full design document with alternatives and a second-reviewer critique. After a short brief we quote a fixed price for a pilot batch, then quote the volume order the same way, so there is no hourly meter running. A data lead replies inside one business day.

Can I do this work alongside my current engineering job?

Yes, and most of the network does. Jobs are remote, show scope, deadline, and rate before you accept, and there is no required number of hours per week. Read your employer's policy on outside work and confidentiality first, and keep a hard line: nothing from your employer's repositories, documents, or incidents goes into a job. Everything you write for eeko is new, and your name is not published with it.

Where does the code in the dataset come from?

It is written new by network engineers for your request, or licensed from a creator who owns it with consent recorded against each file. We do not crawl repositories. Every file is fingerprinted at intake, checked for duplicates, scanned for secrets and personal data, and tied to a signed provenance record naming its author and reviewer. The delivery receipt lists every item by hash, so you can show exactly what you trained on and under what licence.

Can we license design and review data exclusively, and keep it uncontaminated?

Yes to both. Designs, reviews, and evaluation sets commissioned through eeko can be licensed exclusively, with the scope and term agreed in writing before work starts, and an exclusive set is never offered to another buyer. For evaluation sets we add an independent timestamp at delivery so you can later prove when the problems existed, and a standing order replaces items as they age, which matters because a design prompt stops being a fair test once it has been discussed publicly.

Design data your on-call engineer would approve.

Tell us the stack, the volume, and the mistakes your model or agent keeps making. A data lead replies inside one business day with a written spec and a fixed pilot price. Engineers: the application takes ten minutes.
